Last summer we took a family vacation to Key West. All the cruises we've been on, all the photos we've had taken of us, they're all rotten. Always. So we were very pleased to find that this picture of the four of us, getting ready to set sail on a snorkeling trip, was good of all of us! Now it's our "official" family portrait.

While I was in Houston, I saw lots of evidence of a crossover between scrapbooking and quiltmaking. I can't point to one specific inspiration for this little quilt, but it seemed like a great way to display this picture other than in a traditional frame. I don't think it's done yet - I have some beading in mind I want to do - but it's done enough to show it here. Also, I've been making things using fabrics I've printed with my computer using Bubble Jet Set to show what can be done (since I'm selling the stuff), so what a better excuse to have some fun!
