Loom for Sale

After years of not using it and moving it several times, I've decided that it's time to part with my loom.

I bought my Leclerc Artisat loom in 1976. It weaves up to 36" wide. I used it pretty steadily and consistently until 1990, when I had my second kid. After he was born, the last thing I wove was fabric to make his christening outfit. I always thought I'd get back to it, but I haven't. Quilting has taken over my life, and it's time for my loom to go to someone who will love it *and* use it.

It's still in very good condition. Here are some photos:

While living at Innisfree Village in the 1980s, I had the woodshop there custom build me a bench. It's made from cherry wood, very lovingly crafted to my specifications - the perfect height:

I have two reeds for the loom, I think they're 8 and 10 dent. I've got all the hardware that goes with it, some assorted shuttles, bobbins and a bobbin winder, a homemade warping frame that has served me well, and other assorted little dodads. I'd like to sell the whole lot, together, for $1000. No, I don't want to sell the bench separately. $1000 doesn't include shipping or delivery. If you're anywhere near Richmond, Virginia, you're welcome to have a look before you buy. If you're not in the area, please understand that it will cost a chunk of change to pack and ship this baby, but I'm willing to do it.

If you're interested, please email me.
