Sorry; you have to wait for pictures to load. I tried to keep them small....
Painting our house is quite an adventure. We're very lucky to have found a painter who seems to be really enjoying the process (yes, of course he should, since he's getting paid - but he's genuinely enthusiastic). He's been great about trying out different colors for us, painting one window, or one section, and letting us live with it for a day or so before we decide if it's right or not. We think we finally have the main colors chosen, the yellow, dark green, and terra cotta, white for the windows. We still have to decide about the porch and balcony ceilings and porch floor.

The back corner was finished with aluminum siding that didn't match the house at all, so we've had that replaced, as well as the back door (we got the new door at a salvage yard). From this angle, you can see the color we're trying out for the balcony ceiling; we're not sure yet if that's our choice or not. The trim colors on the side are the almost all the right colors, but not all in the right places yet; the final terra cotta we selected is the one that's on the right. | |
| More of that side of the house..... | ||
| Here's the back view of the corner before and after. Well, after the siding was replaced; Joe hasn't started the painting there yet. And yes, we're going to replace the hideous light "fixture." | ||
| More to come later......... | ||
