June 6, 2002

I know, only a geek like me would have a web page of our wedding up already.  But it solves the problem of having our loved ones too far and wide to be in attendance.....

It's probably best if you can wait for all the pictures to load.  I'd appreciate feedback on how I'm doing with keeping the picture sizes down.  But  be nice.  Hopefully by the time you reach the end of the next paragraph, all the pictures will be there.

For those of you who haven't been here yet, this is on our front porch.  There were storms rolling around that afternoon; I'd driven home through some major hard rains.  It had cooled off a lot, thankfully, and it started raining again midway through the vows.  I had to concentrate so I wouldn't mistakenly say "in sunshine and in rain"......

Well, okay, so maybe we don't look *totally* convinced......

Joyce starts to take it all seriously.

The long view.  Of Rick's back, and our sweet Magistrate (notice where the other photographer's butt is; you'll understand why in a few more pictures).

Rick is taking things seriously now, too.  I have a new ring; so does he, you just can't see it here.

An enthusiastic photographer, who shall remain nameless (but whose initials are TLC) knocked over a window box  while trying to get the perfect shot.  Unfortunately, no one captured pictures of the dripping wet, dirty-handed girls after they got done rescuing plants and playing in the hose, behaving like sweet young ladies are supposed to behave at their parents' wedding.  It is believed that nearly all the plants will survive.

Before the hose play; the spots on the picture are indeed raindrops.

Our first toast as married folks.

Opening our present from Theresa (see below).  The picture doesn't really do it justice, although it does a great job of capturing all the fingerprints.  She had it engraved with "Joyce & Rick, June 6, 2002."  It's quite beautiful.

And our lovely model shows some of our other presents from Phoebe and Max:

That's all, folks. I'll try to add some pictures of the party (tomorrow) later.
